Automatic mode fail-closed when the system had strict Private DNS, telling the user to fix settings themselves. Now the candidate chain narrows to "DNS Android" — the only candidate that honors the user's DoT choice — with a visible warning, so the connection proceeds without manual intervention. Secure keeps the preflight error (it explicitly promises DoH and cannot honor strict at the same time), and a broken strict resolver still fail-closes; both strict gates now carry the stable DNS-110 code instead of an uncoded message.
