The suggestion to add a profile photo above the chats list forwarded a click on it to its photo button by sending synthetic mouse events to the window at the button position. The button is the suggestion's leading widget, which is transparent for mouse events, so the events reached the suggestion itself, which forwarded them again until the stack overflowed. Trigger the photo button click directly instead.
